— What we supply

From an essential-circuits panel to a 38 kW whole-home set.

We are an electrical distributor, so the generator, the transfer switch, the load center and the feeder material are quoted together, and the material comes off our own shelf instead of a supplier's back-order list. That is usually where a generator job stalls.

— 22–38 kW
Whole-home standby

Air-cooled and liquid-cooled standby generators that carry the entire house, including one to three air-conditioning compressors. Automatic start on utility loss, weekly self-test, transfer back when the grid returns.

— 14–22 kW
Essential circuits

A smaller set feeding a dedicated subpanel: one AC zone, refrigeration, well or pool pump, network gear, and the lighting and outlets you actually need at 2 AM. Lower cost and a smaller pad.

Automatic transfer switches

Service-entrance rated and load-side automatic transfer switches for whole-home or split essential-load configurations, with load management modules so a smaller generator can still carry a large HVAC system.

Fuel & gas choice

Standby sets come configured for natural gas or propane. Tell us whether the site already has gas service or will run on an above-ground propane tank, and we quote the matching generator configuration. Fuel choice drives both cost and lead time.

Arizona load sizing

A 4-ton compressor pulls 24–30A running and five to eight times that on start. We size the generator we quote from the AC nameplate locked-rotor amps, account for sequential start delays, and quote a soft starter when it lets a smaller generator carry a bigger AC.

Permits & utility

City or county electrical and gas permits, AHJ inspection and the parallel-source notification APS and SRP require before a standby set can be energized are the installing contractor's scope. Tell us the city and the utility up front so the equipment we quote matches what the installation will need.

— Why the distributor angle matters

We already stock the hard-to-get parts.

Most generator delays are not the generator. They are the transfer switch, the load center, the feeder wire or the meter combo sitting on someone else's back-order. We stock that material for our commercial accounts, so a residential standby job pulls from the same shelf.

— Questions we actually get

Straight answers before you order.

How do I get a standby generator quote in Phoenix?

Call (480) 520-1966 or email contact@techenergyamerica.com with a panel photo, the service size, the AC nameplate data and whether the site has natural gas. We return a written equipment quote — generator, transfer switch and the related material — with current lead times.

Who supplies whole-home standby generators in the Phoenix metro?

Tech Energy America supplies Generac, Kohler and Cummins whole-home and standby generators to contractors, builders and property owners across Maricopa County. As an electrical distributor, the transfer switch, load center and feeder material come from our own inventory instead of a supply-house back-order. Tech Energy America supplies the equipment only and does not perform installation. Installation is handled by our sister company, ConstruTech Group (construtechgroup.com).

How do I get pricing on a whole-home generator?

Equipment pricing depends on generator size, fuel type and transfer-switch configuration, so we quote each request in writing with current lead times. Send the AC nameplate data and the service size and we price the matching generator, transfer switch and material.

What size generator do I need for an Arizona house?

Size from the air conditioning, not the square footage. A 4-ton compressor draws 24 to 30 amps running and five to eight times that on start, so a 22 kW set is at its limit with one 4-ton AC. Two ACs generally means 26 kW or more, unless a soft-start retrofit brings the inrush down enough to keep a smaller set.

Do I need a permit and utility approval for a standby generator?

Yes. A standby generator needs an electrical permit and, for gas work, a gas permit from the city or county AHJ, plus parallel-source notification to APS or SRP before the set can be energized. That is the installing contractor's scope; Tech Energy America supplies the equipment.

What are the lead times on standby generators?

Lead time is driven mostly by generator availability for the size and fuel type you need, and large liquid-cooled sets take longer. We confirm current lead times in writing with every quote.

Do you supply Generac generators near me?

Yes. We supply Generac Guardian and Protector series, Kohler and Cummins standby generators to projects throughout Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, Glendale, Peoria and the surrounding Maricopa County cities. We supply the equipment only — have your licensed electrical contractor install it.
